Breathwork

Breathe • Feel • Release • Reconnect
Breathwork at Rainbow Light Sanctuary is a gentle, trauma-aware, music-supported practice designed to help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and move emotion in a safe, supported way.
This work is not about pushing through or forcing release.
It is about learning to listen — and allowing the breath to become a pathway back to yourself.

Breathwork is a guided practice that uses conscious breathing, music, and facilitation to support emotional awareness, release, and integration.
It can help with:
- Emotional processing and clarity
- Nervous system regulation
- Releasing stress and overwhelm
- Reconnecting with your body, intuition, and inner strength
Every session is held with care, consent, and choice.
You are always in control of your experience.

At Rainbow Light Sanctuary, breathwork is held as a sacred, embodied process, grounded in safety, presence, and respect for individual capacity.
You can expect:
- Trauma-aware guidance — no force, no pressure, options always available
- Music-led journeys that support emotional flow and integration
- Clear session structure, so you feel held rather than left open
- Choice-based facilitation, allowing you to engage at your own pace
This approach supports meaningful change without overwhelm.

Each breathwork session follows a steady, supportive arc designed to help the body feel safe enough to explore, release, and integrate.
You’ll be guided through:
- Grounding & intention — arriving, settling, and orienting
- Breath activation — building gently, with choice
- Release & integration — allowing emotions or sensations to move naturally
- Optional somatic expression — sound or movement if it feels supportive
- Closing & regulation — returning fully, grounded and present
At all times, you are welcome to:
- Pause or slow the breath
- Breathe through the nose
- Return to natural breathing
- Sit up, rest, or modify any part
Your body leads. The breath follows.

What’s the Difference?
Breathwork at Rainbow Light Sanctuary is offered both 1:1 and in group journeys.
While the values remain the same — safety, choice, and integration — the way sessions are guided differs.
(Optional Trauma Mastery Integration)
1:1 breathwork is fully individual and responsive.
Sessions are shaped around your unique needs, capacity, and intentions on the day. Guidance, pacing, and breath cues are adapted in real time as your system responds, while the overall structure remains steady and safe.
Where appropriate, 1:1 breathwork may be combined with Trauma Mastery principles, allowing the work to:
- Move at a pace led by your nervous system
- Support regulation alongside release
- Work gently with protective or stored responses
- Integrate awareness, choice, and safety throughout
This format is ideal for those seeking a more contained, personalised experience.
🌿 Group Breathwork Journeys
Rather than adapting moment-by-moment to each individual, facilitation supports the collective rhythm of the group, creating a safe container where each person has their own internal experience.
In group sessions:
- The breath, music, and guidance follow a set journey arc
- The facilitator holds the space for the group as a whole
- Participants are encouraged to self-regulate and engage at their own pace
- Each person remains responsible for listening to their own body
Group journeys offer connection, resonance, and the power of shared experience — while still honouring personal choice.

Each breathwork session is guided responsively and with care, while always being held within a clear, safe structure.
In 1:1 sessions, guidance is fully attuned to the individual.
In group sessions, guidance supports the collective container.
In all cases, the facilitator creates the conditions for healing — but your body chooses the pace.

At Rainbow Light Sanctuary, breathwork sessions use conscious connected breathing.
This involves a continuous, rhythmic breath supported by music and facilitation. The breath is always guided gently and with choice, and you may slow, pause, or return to natural breathing at any time.
Conscious connected breathwork can support emotional awareness and release, but it is never about forcing an experience. The body leads, and the breath follows.

Conscious connected breathwork may not be suitable for everyone at all times.
It may be unsuitable, or require additional discussion, for individuals who:
- Have significant cardiovascular conditions
- Have a history of seizures or epilepsy
- Have high blood pressure or high pressure in your eyes
- have asthma
- Are currently pregnant
- Are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Are experiencing severe or unmanaged mental health conditions
- Have been advised by a healthcare professional to avoid breath-intensive practices
These considerations are not about exclusion — they are about care, safety, and respect for individual circumstances.

If you are unsure whether breathwork is appropriate for you, you are warmly encouraged to discuss this with Rainbow Light Sanctuary before booking or attending a session.
This allows space to:
- Explore whether breathwork is suitable at this time
- Adapt the practice where appropriate
- Recommend a 1:1 session instead of group work
- Suggest gentler or alternative approaches if needed
Open communication helps ensure the work remains supportive and aligned with your wellbeing.

Breathwork continues to unfold after the session has ended.
You may feel calm, emotional, energised, tired, or reflective — all of these responses are natural as your system integrates the work.
To support yourself gently:
- Drink plenty of water
- Rest and take things slowly
- Be kind and compassionate with yourself
- Journal or reflect if it feels supportive
- Allow emotions and insights to settle in their own time
There is no right or wrong way to feel.
🤍 A Shared, Empowered Approach
Breathwork at Rainbow Light Sanctuary is held as a collaborative and respectful practice.
The facilitator provides a safe, grounded container and guides the session with care.
You remain responsible for your own body, breath, and wellbeing, and you are always in control of your experience.
Breathwork supports self-awareness and wellbeing but does not replace medical, psychological, or professional healthcare.
✨ You are always the expert of your own body and lived experience.
Some healing journeys are chosen with the mind.
Others are felt.
If you feel drawn to breathwork, trust that inner knowing.
This is a protected space to release what you’ve been carrying, reconnect with yourself, and return to life with more clarity and calm.
